Just a quick sketch of a portion of my room. No drawing from yesterday-I literally spent the whole day building/finishing a sculpture for class. Anyways with that I'm done with January's drawing challenge. Missed two days-but hey I did a butt load more drawings that I would have if I hadn't set up this challenge, which is the point-I just need to keep drawing and working those muscles. I will reveal what February's drawing challenge is tomorrow. Crazy we're already one month in!

January Drawing Challenge #25-29
Sorry I've been lame about posting these. Almost done with January though-I can't believe it! Monday's drawing did exist, but my mom threw the drawing out :/ My fault for drawing on a scrap piece of paper I guess.

To rememdy this as well as my lack of enthusiasm for life drawing lately, i have decided to tackle a subject for the day. Thus the shoes. Okayz, no more forgetting and more serious drawing ahead.

January Drawing Challenge #11-OMG 100th post
100th post...too bad that the drawings in this are so unmonumental. :/ Oh wellz.
1st one is of my cat Woody sleeping which I drew last night
2nd is a memory sketch of something I saw while driving...I botched the guy the first time I tried, but I liked the dog so I just redrew the guy and sloppily used the magic of photoshop to blend the two together. It kinda worked.

January Drawing Challenge #9
Tried drawing part of a coffee roaster. Mechanical objects are not my strength in any sort of way, but this was good practice nonetheless.

January Drawing Challenge #8
Drawn at the Kite Flying Festival at Lake Harriet today. Super quick drawings because it was SOOOO cold out(which I actually think helped these drawings). Day 8, DONE!

January Drawing Challenge #2
Just a spot by my computer-a bit boring but I wanted to life draw from my computer and the cat thing by my desk was calling to be drawn. Unfinished because I lost interest after I drew the cat-probably because that was the only thing I wanted to draw in the first place. Oh wellz-main point is that I drew something from life and I didn't fail this challenge second day in. Here's to tomorrow!

January Drawing Challenge #1
Oh haha, I just realized I totally wrote the wrong date. No I did not draw this two days in the future but today, Jan 1st(although, that would be way awesome if the former were true).

2011 Drawing Challenge
My current spree of life drawing and the coming of a new year got me thinking-I'd really love to continue with how much I'm life drawing but how can I keep this up? At first I thought, hrm maybe I can do one of them new years resolutions/goals to draw from life every single day. But that seemed too daunting. So instead, I'm going to do monthly drawing challenges for myself. I'm not planning out what to do each month right now because I don't know what I'll be interested in at the time and I don't want this to feel like a forced thing. So at the end of the month, I will announce what I'm doing for the next month.
January's Challenge: Draw at least one thing from life(either animate or inanimate) every day (more if possible).
So here we go. And if you guys have any suggestions for future months, let me know...I'm sure I'm going to need ideas for this at some point.
