Art is a Monster
My friend Beth Tokar and I have a show up right now at NWC in an office-turned-gallery. We titled it, "Art Is a Monster" as we are both working on monster related art, though I think we interpreted the idea of a monster differently, the two ideas worked together nicely. Below are my paintings in the show. I interpreted the idea of a monster as something unapproachable which is fitting to studio art for me as I have always found fine art to be unapproachable in a sense. There is one thing you are missing when looking at these photos (apart that photos flatten paintings....) in that I made the gallery space smell kind of gross by a mix of the smell of the black paint and fish sauce I put on the black painting. Anyways, if you have the chance, stop by, the show is up until the end of the week.

Spring Break Drawings
Wow two posts from in a day, no way! That's what happens when I'm on spring break and actually have time to draw. Here's some drawings from Spring Break itself:
And here's a preview to a new character I'm working on that fits in with my aardvark character. You'll be seeing him a bit more soon.

The Terminal
Thanks to fog and late planes, I spent a total 12 hours in the Milwaukee airport over the past week. Fortunately, the time went by fast thanks to all the great people to draw and I actually managed to fill out a small sketchbook just with airtport drawings. Here are some of the better drawings I did:
